Staff pick
One of the most enjoyable - and surreal - evenings I've had in a long time. The dim, torch lit cellar of a Victorian warehouse provides the perfect setting for a cavalcade of historical hilarity. King Henry the VIIIth presided over a court of medieval misfits from Roman strongmen to 13th century knights to Elizabethan magicians to restoration dancing girls. A kind of 'Time Tunnel' on Acid experience. The audience were invited to toast every turn with a hearty WASSAIL!! Before being treated to renditions of 'The Skye Boat Song', 'The Wild Rover' and, my personal favourite ' Whiskey in the jar'O'. The evening wouldn't have been complete without the ritual humiliation of one or two of the more hapless members of the audience (myself amongst them), a bout of the hokey cokey and a final chorus of Tina Turner's timeless ballad "Simply the Best". I haven't laughed so much in years.
An absolute must for office parties, leaving do's, birthdays and stag & hen nights.
