Purpose of role:
Working alongside Head of Travel and reporting directly to the UK MD, this new & business critical role will take strategic and functional responsibility for managing our Holidays section and the strategic development of our Package Holiday Product Offering.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To define, plan and implement departmental strategy and initiatives to drive key business metrics of Revenue, margin, customer numbers and conversion for area of package holidays. Structured and planned growth of key product and content offerings. To leverage business development opportunities and relationships with technology partners, third parties and other European offices. Formalise account management policies and procedures. To coach, mentor and develop existing account management staffTo shape vision for travel packages sector for market leadership for 2002 and beyond.

Specialist Skills and Experience:
Essential:
An excellent all rounder with in depth tour operating experience, including commercial negotiations. Excellent contacts within the tour industry at a senior levelProven people management skills. In depth understanding of package tour regulations, elements, pitfalls, resorts, general UK market trends etc.Must be a good all rounder within packaging / tour operating, rather than a specialist in one area.Any experience of e-commerce is ideal.

Abilities / Personality:
Essential:
A solution finder, driven by results with strong commercial accumen.

Executive Assistant to Chief Financial Officer
Finance Department

Purpose of role:
To smoothly run all of the administrative / organisational tasks related to the CFO's working day, business functions attached to his role & project work relating to the CFO's position. Also corporate activity (internal and external) or non-executive responsibilities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage MS Outlook for CFO - diary, emails, contacts etc. Answering calls, filtering & reallocating appropriately. Supporting senior Finance Management team. Dealing with first base press enquiries, emails & other correspondence. Proactive organisation of travel, complex meeting arrangements and conferences. Faxing, ordering couriers, booking meetings etc. Liaising with lawyers, PR agencies, Notary Publics, bankers, auditors, analysts, other Board members. Creating & maintaining complex filing system, prioritisation of multiple duties and managing CFOs personal duties.

Specialist Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Advanced - MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Outlook. Typing speed min 55wpm. 3years+ secretarial skills, ideally in a similar role. Secretarial training.
Desirable:
Shorthand. Experience in a comparable role / working with senior individuals within a finance environment.

Abilities / Personality:
Essential:
Proactive team player. Thorough, meticulous with extreme attention to detail. Self motivated, outgoing. Confident working in an open plan office.

Head of Global Technical Implementation
Technical Department

Role:
Drive technical delivery of all implementation and development projects on a global scale. Lead a team of 4+ Technical Managers including Development and QA. Improve processes & communication with the business by working closely with Head of Technical Architecture & Head of Technical Operations. Take responsibility for ongoing support of Merger & Acquisition activity as required by business demands. Implement an innovative & challenging delivery process, showing leadership & technical guidance in driving project resource forward.

Specialist Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years technical management & 10 years project implementation (including project management & business requirement interfacing). Technical background that includes at least 2 years hands on development & a good understanding of Java, the RUP development process & Internet technologies. Broad level awareness of project management processes & proven ability to manage concurrent deliverables, ideally within an e-commerce environment. Demonstrable cross-functional team management experience with a leadership style that is influencing & adaptable in a fast paced & challenging environment. Travel industry experience preferred but not essential.

Customer Services Agents - Travel Specialists
Customer Services Department

Purpose of role:
To manage customer sales and service specifically relating to the travel categories.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the customer contacts relating to travel categories (‘one-stop resolution’). To identify and convert travel sales & resolve customer concerns in a proactive manner. Own the customer contact and ensure the customer is kept informed of any developments relating to their query until a full resolution is reached· Take responsibility for understanding individual schedule and roster requirements.

Educational Qualifications:
Essential:
GCSE English and Maths at a grade C or above
Desirable:
IATA or GDS training

Specialist Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Candidates must have in-house travel agency reservations experience or high volume call centre experience within a travel company. Sound PC and internet knowledge. Excellent English language skills. Minimum of 12 months working knowledge of airline Central Reservations Systems (Galileo / Worldspan). Sound geographic knowledge
Desirable:
A good understanding of the sales cycle within a customer service / call centre environment

Thorough and meticulous with extreme attention to detail

BSP Manager
Customer Services Department

Purpose of role:
A key role to develop, implement and manage processes and functionality of an expanding BSP team. Hands on reconciliation of all flight tickets in accordance with IATA BSP regulations and overall management of an effective BSP function.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurate balancing of all BSP reports to sales figures. Processing of all IATA-BSP Standard Traffic Documents. Handle all passenger refunds, ADMs ,ACMs.Proactive communication with finance, ticketing & fulfillment departments and other cross-functional teams within lastminute.com UK.Liaison with airlines accounts department and IATA regulators. Cross checking Tickets are issued correctly.

Educational Qualifications:
Essential:
Educated to GCSE / O level as a minimum. BA Ticketing Level One
Desirable:
BA Ticketing Levels Two / Three

Specialist Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Min 3yrs BSP reconciliations. IATA Ticketing. Detailed knowledge of Negotiated & published IATA Fares. Working knowledge of GDS, MS Office. Team Leadership experience

Abilities / Personality:
Essential:
A strong organiser with great attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple duties at once. Good humour and proactive.
