"They got it right eventually"

I stayed here for four nights with my two children. Upon arrival we were directed to a modern suite directly looking onto Tower Bridge Road. The wifi initially didn't work but reception soon sorted that out. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped however as other reviewers have said the heat seemed to be stuck at 25 degrees but worse than that was the noise from the road. One of the bedrooms was at the front of the apartment directly overlooking the road and quite honestly you may aswell as had the bed on the road it was so noisy. Needless to say I didn't sleep well and as I am used to city living that is saying something. The next morning after complaining we were transferred to an appartment in the rear of the property which was blissfully peaceful and comfortable although nowhere nearly well equipped ( one tiny frying pan and one saucepan) plus the bin in the bathroom had not been cleaned out! I specifically wanted to stay in this area as I had lived at Tower Bridge previously so I know the area well , however it is a distance from the tube which I think might aggravate . There are supermarkets close by and for us it was an ideal location as most of what we wanted to see was in the east of the city. I think for a more 'touristy ' visit perhaps the London bridge location might be better as you are closer to everything because of the jubilee line. The test is would you stay again and my answer is "probably" although I would make sure I spoke to reception first to find out exactly where my room was

After reading some of the reviews before my visit I was wary of what I might find but i was pleasantly surprised! I spent 3 nights in a fantastic apartment at Tower Bridge with my family. The facilities and amenities made it feel like home. The location was surprisingly quiet as we were so close to Tower Bridge. Just a short walk from shops and the local Market for us to buy supplies when we were eating in the apartment. It seemed a waste to not make use of the self catering facilities available. If i was to find fault all it could be was that we did find that there was no tea towel on our arrival but on ringing the reception there response of the porter to bring us one was almost immediate. I would definitely recommend this company and use it myself again in the future.

"Terrible service, misleading photos"

Thu 09 May 2013 Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom

I travel to London from Edinburgh frequently for research and decided to try Think Apartments in order to save money on eating out. My partner was joining me this trip so the beautiful photos of the rooms made me settle on Think over owner-direct rentals. We initially stayed at the Earls Court location which was just as nicely appointed and pretty as the photos made out. We did find nail clippings in our bed and we were inexplicably situated right below (I mean in the very room below) major construction without any warning. However, we're used to hotel stays and no one can be expected to get everything right, so we brushed it off. We ended up extending the trip and since Earls Court was booked up, we moved over to the Tower Bridge location. The photos for Tower Bridge were even more stunning and we were excited for a nice romantic bent on what was otherwise a grueling work trip. We spent an entire day lugging our stuff across town, and it took forever to find the initial office. After that we were sent to two different locations further down the block, which was quite irritating but again we brushed it off. However...when we got to our apartment at Tower Bridge, we were horribly disappointed. Ironically we'd been told at the front desk that we'd been "upgraded" from a studio to a two bedroom apartment. Unfortunately that apartment was definitely NOT any you would find pictured on the website. It was very dirty, the walls and furniture were stained, appliances and furniture totally outdated, the whole place reeked of mildew, and to top it off, both mattresses (prison quality and thickness, no less) were covered in hair. From the pillow cases to the sheets to the duvet to the mattress itself. We're not talking a hair here or there, this was obscene. I've stayed in hostel studios that were cleaner and more comfortable, and with a much smaller price tag. We were absolutely fed up at this point, so we called the central office and complained. The gentleman on the phone was very nice and told us he'd call right back with a solution. Instead, two women came to the door about ten minutes later and were hostile from the get go. I told them that I'd booked this location specifically because of the very modern photos we'd seen on the website, and this was certainly not what they'd advertised. We pointed out the hair all over the bedding, and one of them (who seemed to be in charge) actually had the nerve to tell us that it was their linen company's fault. She assured us that despite being covered in what looked very plausibly to be pubic hair, the sheets were clean and we should be fine to sleep in them. My jaw just hit the floor. We demanded a refund, they left in a huff, and I booked a room elsewhere. I'd like to say the outrage ended there, but we still had to collect our refund. After being told that we'd just need to go down to the front desk to handle it, my partner was subjected to a half hour fight with the lady at reception. Unbelievably, she told my partner that since we didn't know the name of the woman who'd visited the room and authorised the refund, she would have to simply take our email address and get back to us. The worst part was, the second woman who came to the room was sitting RIGHT NEXT to the receptionist the whole time and didn't say a word. Not even when my partner pointed to her and said, "That woman was with her!" After we went back and forth for awhile, phone calls were made and we were directed to the original office down the street. Another twenty minutes later and we finally left with confirmation that the refund had been processed. The whole experience was terrible. We felt totally ripped off and abused by the staff. It's such a shame because the Earls Court location, aside from some forgivable bumps, was so nice and perfect for my needs. I'd have loved to make Think my go-to accommodation, but now I don't want to give this company one more dime. I suggest you look elsewhere too.

"Excellent self catering apartment close to Tower Bridge and Southbank"

After reading some reviews I was a little concerned about what we would end up with!! We were pleasantly surprised! The room had been upgraded without asking to a very spacious 1 bed apartment, with a super view of The Shard from the balcony. Check in and out staff were very polite and helpful. The apartment had a few marks and things but nothing major. Everything was clean which was the main thing. There was a slight smell from the drain hole in the kitchen sink but we just kept the plug down. After a few times draining water this went away. The apartment was on the fourth floor, we had no noise from other guests al all and could not hear any traffic from outside. An excellent stay and we would certainly hope to have the same service when we stay again. We would take our car next time as they charge £10 for 24 ours and it is outside the charging zone.

A great alternative to hotel, and cheaper. Helpful, friendly staff. Check out time is 10 a.m., but it was okay to postpone it one hour. But there are a few surprises: The appartement we got was rather worn down and ugly. I've posted two pictures here, which differ rather a lot from the ones they've posted on their own site. The entrance was rather difficult to find. We arrived late and the taxi driver left us at the entrance adress according to the one Think had posted on their net site. But the gate was closed, with no sign telling that we had to enter from another part of the block (which was also hard to find). The double beds are rather small. If you need twin beds, be sure to contact Think Tower directly in advance. The booking site we used wasn't reliable. But to end on a high note: An all in all great London trip.
