This is a great hotel located right down the street from the city center. It is about a nice 5 minute walk to all the shops, markets & restaurants. The location has a great view if you are staying in any rooms facing the street. I traveled with a group of friends for the Dublin Marathon. We had four people in our room and it was roomy enough for all of us. The hotel can be loud at night since it happens to also be on a street with all the bars & clubs. We heard horn honking, conversations, and drunken rants in the middle of the night. three nights straight. But if you're young and love drinking, then you'll fit right in. I wouldn't recommend this for couples who are on their honeymoon or celebrating anniversaries unless you are trying to save money, then I would ask for a room far from the street. My friends stayed further in and didn't hear much of the rant we did. The rooms are clean and the bathroom was very modern. Don't except a massage shower head though. The hotel staff were great. Very nice & hospitable. They recommended us a place to eat - a local pasta shop down the street and it was amazing. All in all, i would stay here again so I would recommend this to a friend. Close

This hotel is in a very convenient location The rooms are fair and a bit outdated. There are also numerous late night clubs on the street so noise at night can be an issue.

The hotel is located on Harcourt Street which is just south of St Stephens Green - close to Grafton Street. The location is great - it is easy walking distance (in my unfit opinion) to Trinity... more

The hotel is located on Harcourt Street which is just south of St Stephens Green - close to Grafton Street. The location is great - it is easy walking distance (in my unfit opinion) to Trinity College and Temple Bar. Breakfast was not included in our package but we did have breakfast one morning. At €10 for a full Irish - I thought it was reasonably priced. It probably sums up the stay at the hotel well. Not bad for the price! I found Dublin relatively expensive (compared to London) so when I say reasonably priced - I must add that it is for "Dublin" I must add that there is a loud nightclub opposite the hotel - it was bearable but worst at closing time. Which was 2am on Thursday and 4am on Friday & Saturday. If you are noise sensitive - stay at the back of the hotel. But if you are rather noise sensitive, you may be better off staying outside the centre of the city as everywhere is loud! Close

The other reviews mentioned the noise, but really no problem-slept quite well, the only noise was at about 4 a.m., when the club across the street shut down. then there were taxis and people spilling out into the streets, a bit noisy, but not enough to ruin the night. The room was really small, but clean, and a great bathroom! Breakfast was good, but not a lot of selection. Close

Recently stayed here for two nights with family while in Dublin. I have to say our experience was great. The staff was friendly and helpful ,and yes mostly non Irish as we found were many service people in Ireland, our room was great and comfortable. The hotel is small, comforftable and what we saw was nicely all nicely restored. For location and price this place is hard to beat, right off St. Stephen's Green and Grafton Street and easy walking to all the sights Dublin Castle, St. Patricks, Trinity, Temple Bar, etc. There are several grocery markets right around the corner. It was great to have a free, secure place to park and ditch the car. We did ask to and looked at a couple of rooms in making a selection, and our room rate included full breakfast so I guess it helps to ask. Their suites are very nice and worth the extra. Their cafe downstairs was really good, breakfasts great the pastries amazing as they have their own chef. We chose to stay in a front room overlooking Harcourt St. for the views even reading these reviews and yes there was noise one night but not bad came and went when pubs closed at 2AM However, in talking to locals it seems that happens every night most anywhere in Dublin, especially closer to Temple Bar. It seems with this place based on other reviews it's a hit or miss and pays to ask questions or selections in advance if possible. I've stayed at many big name hotels in cities in the States and had the same issues with rooms and service, great one time, questionable the next. Close
