"A nice surprise"

5.0/5

Wed 19 Jun 2013 Fort Collins, Colorado

We booked at the Pullman for one reason: we wanted to be close to the Eurostar station at St. Pancras, and this hotel looked like the best value in the neighborhood. Indeed! First of all, the Picadilly Line (unlike the much pricier Heathrow Express) took us all the way from Heathrow to Kings Cross/St Pancras. Crazed from lack of sleep after a 9-hour trans-Atlantic flight, we thought it a good idea to ride direct. Once outside the station (and once pointed to Euston Road), we walked 5 minutes to the hotel, where we were greeted by an attractive young man with an i-pad whose single mission in life was to make us welcome and help us register. (In fact, each time we left or returned, an i-pad greeter asked if he/she could be of help with directions or reservations. Never intrusive, always pleasant.) The hotel itself had been recently renovated (previously a Novotel) and so was especially fresh and up-to-date. Our room was more than comfortable with a view of the British Library and beyond. Big windows. The proximity to a major tube station a little out of the center proved to be a benefit because we could go directly to the usual stops (Harrods, for example) and the distant ones (like the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith) without having to deal with center of town crowds. Finally, the breakfast (served late enough for the jet lagged) included in our room rate featured an array of hot items, pastries, fruit, juices, cereals, cheeses, lox, yogurts, and so on. Perfect for stoking up for a day of sight seeing or travel onward on day 2 to Belgium. If this Pullman is representative, we will look for others in this line when we travel again.

We only had a one night stop over to enable us to catch an early train from St Pancras. We were treated as though we stopped there on a regular basis. Our treatment from the moment we reached the Pullman was first class. Nothing was too much trouble we felt that everyone wanted to make our one night stay perfect. The bedroom was excellent, very clean, comfortable and well proportioned. The food, ( evening meal and breakfast) was first class. Sadly we had to leave next morning.

"great hotel"

Wed 19 Jun 2013 South Shields, United Kingdom

Stayed here on the 13th June for 4 nights great hotel and well run, the staff were great, always attentive to your needs, check in was a breeze.the room was very spacious, plenty of room, and a very large comfortable bed, large screen tv. great bathroom with a wonderful shower, every thing you would need for your stay.they had only one bathrobe and a pair of slippers for the both of us but it was not a problem as we never use these things preferring our own.the air conditioning can be manually controlled so if its a bit noisy at night time you can switch it off. great breakfast plenty off choice, we had a meal in the restaurant on two nights price is on par for London but the menu was a bit short on selection, would have liked more choice for evening meals.we had arrived at kings cross station so it was a short walk to the hotel, so you are very close to the underground.

"Fantastic Views"

New hotel next door to The British Library and 3 minutes walk to St Pancras Station. Check-in slow and rather clinical, not unfriendly but not particularly welcoming either. Large lounge area off reception with a bar and live music and plenty of chairs. Room on 11th floor, very very large with King size bed, mini-bar, safe and airconditioning and large flat screen television etc. Unable to get sub-titles on the TV. Large bathroom with massive shower including and overhead "waterfall" type unit. and a large selection of toiletries. Everything emaculate and spotlessly clean. Could do with a couple of easy chairs and perhaps a table - only 2 desk type chairs to watch TV. Room certainly not cheap and breakfast was a further £23.00 on top. Gave breakfast a miss and ate in St Pancras Station, but would stop there again

"Nice modern hotel at a perfect location"

Tue 18 Jun 2013 Antwerp, Belgium

We had a very nice stay is this modern, spacious and recently re-decorated hotel. It's situated at a few steps from St Pancras International train station, and therefor ideal for those who arrive in London by Eurostar. In the same station, you can hop on the major underground lines who will bring you to the other side of the city in only a blink of an eye. That's why you can really say that this hotel lays at a superb location. Compared to other hotels in London, this hotel offers very spacious, well-isolated rooms with amenities of the best quality. The breakfast buffet is big enough, although at Pullman in Cologne (Germany), it's twice as big for the same price. The restaurant offers a nice selection of food and wines, and at the bar you can choose between a wide range of cocktails, beers and other drinks. Though the stay is not cheap, the price-quality balance is way above average. We certainly recommend this hotel.
