"Terrific value"

5.0/5

Fri 24 May 2013 Derby, United Kingdom

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel, where the staff were courteous, helpful and cheerful. My room was spotless, the location exceptionally convenient and I was able to leave my luggage after I checked out until the evening train back north. I enjoyed the breakfast where there was plenty of choice (great to have fresh, not tinned, fruit). I liked everything about the hotel, including its social enterprise credentials. The accommodation and service were much better than far more expensive, corporate hotels. Thank you and congratulations to the hard-working staff! I will always stay here from now on.

"Quirky Place"

The hotel is in a great location only minutes from Euston station. It's a good alternative to the "corporates" it's a social enterprise with lovely staff, very clean and tidy with rooms that have everything you need. It's not flash, glossy or sharp edged but the people do make the difference. I had one of the best breakfasts ever in this hotel, perfectly squeezed orange juice, organic jams, fresh bread and a good hot selection. It's represents food value for money. I would stay again.

"Best hotel of my Europe tour"

This hotel - now called The Wesley - was perfect for me. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. My room was spacious and very clean and the free wifi was fantastic. The location is also perfect - half a street away from Euston station, a couple of blocks from St Pancras/Kings Cross station and walking distance to many parks, restaurants, Pubs, the list goes on! I was also impressed with the organic and fair trade produce that is used in this hotel. It's no wonder so many people come back here to stay again, I know I will!

"Great location!"

Great location, good breakfast, nice staff. You! Need! To! Stay! Here!!! Location: Euston street is a short one, with a fair amount of bars, restaurants, a smaller grocery store and cafés in the neighborhood. A short walk to the big Euston station and a miniscule longer one to Euston square station. What more can you ask for? The room: We got a moderately big double room with two separate beds. The beds were comfy but the pillows hideous! Our bathroom was a bit small, especially for a long-legged creature like me! Also, it took some time for us to figure out how the shower worked: The upper knob is to adjust the power of the douche while the lower one is to adjust the heat/cold. The AC was a bit tricky too but after pushing a few buttons my friend managed to get rid of the warm air. Breakfast: This is what is included in the price: cereal, the/coffee, bread and jam, i.e. "continental breakfast". For an additional £5 you get warm food: sausage, bacon, fried potato cakes, sausage, egg (fried or boiled), pancakes and fried tomates. I highly recommend you to pay the extra 5 quid. Other info: If you book the hotel online and have already paid when you arrive, you are required to pay an extra 50£ incase you happen to break anything in the room or feel like trashing it in a rockstar fashion. When it's time for you to check out the 50£ is returned to you. I'm not sure though if you could pay in cash since they reserved the money on my visa card.

"Staff was amazing !!"

Tue 07 May 2013 Tel-Aviv

I would like to start with specifically pointing out April - the receptionist. She was kind, patient and helpful beyond words ! When my wife felt sick - she was warm and emphatic (and helpful by extending the room stay and more...) When we needed help booking tickets to a musical - she basically did everything for us. She was generally Super ! Thanks ! (staff was generally great :) ) Also - the location of the hotel is literally 200meters from the main station in Euston - allowing easy access to the underground + trains - making it really easy to travel in London and the UK. Very convenient. Breakfast was nice. Room was very very clean, a bit small, but clean and modern. More then enough for a couple that doesn't stay much in the room anyways... I would go back there if I had another few-days trip to London.
