"Great place to stay!"

We did not expect much from this hotel, but we were very nicely surprised. We needed a cheap place for one night close to the station. This hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the train station and historical city attractions. For $70 p/n we got a nice size, clean, tiled room with ensuite. The location seems to be superb as it was incredibly quiet during the night and we were well rested the next day. Beds were also very comfortable. People at the reception were friendly and helpful. We had a couple of hours to spare before the flight next day, so they offered to look after our luggage, and they gave us some valuable information about the train connections. We will be back in Rome at the end of April, and we wanted to change our accommodation to Hotel Mamiani, but unfortunately, they did not have any vacancies. Overall, this is a great place to stay!

"Biggest bang for your buck in Europe - no joke. An excellent crash."

We paid ~$60 in central Rome on the eve of a Papal investiture for a hotel that we though was perfectly clean. Listen: it's a tiny albergo, it doesn't profess to be the lap of luxury. It was EXTREMELY reasonable. We only wanted a comfortable place to crash. I will say: the area's not great, but there are some Indian places nearby (very casual, not high end places). If you're looking for a shower and a clean place to sleep, without breaking the bank, this is it. It's a five minute walk from Stazione Termini. Our room wasn't dingy at all, the floors were all new, it seemed. ALSO, it's a ten minute walk to the pub district, San Lorenzo, Rome's best kept secret (it's where the Italian students go while all the American students and tourists are getting poop-faced in Campo di Fiori (highly unsophisticated, I know, I was one of them eight years ago!) We'd absolutely stay here again. Come on, you're in Rome! Who needs to sit around in a hotel????

A cost effective place. The person at the reception was a keralite from India. There's a nice Indian biriyani place just acorss the road for those who want something without cheese. They have a nice small breakfast. Its very close to Roma Termini and another underground station, well connected.

Good facilities, tidy room, with breakfast and room cleaned every day. Nice decor, good selection of tv channels(150ish), wifi a bit dodgy in some rooms. Ask for an internal room to avoid street noise. Bathroom is fine. Very friendly staff, the neighbourhood is...vibrant, great coffee place just across the road really, great location for public transport and for walking places... Did run out of hot water so get up early if you want a warm shower! Great value for the price paid.

"Good enough for rest and shower"

I am going to start with the possitive: Location, location, location!, if you are planning to travel around Italy by train, this is the good spot. Just 10 minutes walking from Termini station, which is the centre of the rail in Rome, this station also is the one you will arrive coming from Fumiccino Airport, if you dont feel like walking, don't worry: the hotel is located one block away from Vittorio Emanuele metro station, you can take the metro at Termini and get off at the next station, and you are just steps from hotel. The other positive is the helpful staff, specialy the guy who delivers the breakfast, he is just great, excelent manners, service, positive attitude, just can't say enough about him! and this is very rare in Rome...I did find italians quite lacking of customer service skills in every place I went...It just went from regular to disgraceful...But this man really make the difference. The AC works excellent; this is a must in italy during hot months, otherwise your vacation will turn in nightmare. The rooms offer free WIFI, you only need to bring your tablet or your smart phone. The not too positive stuff: The hotel is run down, when you arrive it is a shock, because the reception is a small spot under the stairs that gives the aspect pictured in the movies of one of those motels for prostitution biz...There is nothing, just that desk and then the stairs to the rooms. The other bad thing is, although there is a good location for travelling out and in the city, it is a ugly neighborhood; looks sketchy, dark at night, and I will be afraid travelling alone, although I did not see any incident, but gives you the creeps...few people sleeping in the street, drinking and begging. There is no place to eat around this hotel, you need to have your dinner in another area, and you should buy water, beer and snacks in any of the supermarkets around because the mini bar is expensive and poorly stacked. The other bad thing is the shower...it is build for people who are abnormaly skinny...if you are a healthy weight person, you will have trouble showering, if you are overweight or big: God help you, because you probably will not be able to close the door of the shower. I will say this hotel is good if you only will go to sleep and shower, and you are not thinking in having a stay in a hotel that offers luxuries and relaxing services or lounges...it only offers the very basic: comfortable bed, AC, WIFI and a bathroom...By the way, it has tv in the room but no english channels.
