The London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel, is a giant Ferris wheel which rises 135 metres into the London skyline. The largest wheel of its kind in Europe, it offers views of up to 25 miles across London. Each of the 32 sealed and air-conditioned passenger capsules can fit 25 people, who can walk around or sit down.

The museum was originally part of the school of nursing at St. Thomas’  hospital, founded by Nightingale in 1860. Known for her nursing work during the Crimean War, here visitors can see many of her personal belongings, which are on public view.

After dark

The area close to the London Eye is full of classy cocktail and wine bars, classic pubs, nightclubs, live music and more, with something for just about everyone come nightfall. Early on, grab a cocktail at the Cabin Bar on the station, or have drinks and conversation with friends at the classy Topolski Gallery and Bar.

The Ministry of Sound London is possibly one of the most well-known nightclubs in the entire world, and is well worth a visit to dance the night away. Or for a slightly less hectic vibe, try The Vaults beneath the station, where live music and club nights are regularly held.
