"Top Marks"

5.0/5

is hotel is in a great location and as it turned out great value. The restuarant where I had my breakfast was newly decorated as was the reception area. The breakfast was great, loads of choice and very tasty, the wheaten bread was delicious. The bedroom was spotless, plenty of white fluffy towells and a comfy bed. St Patricks church is across the street, those that have said that they were kept awake by the bells of the church must have bionic ears, I was at the front of the hotel and be assured they are not loud. FInally top marks to the reception staff they were very helpful and pleasant

"Unpleasant Experience at Jury's Inn Christchurch"

1.0/5

Tue 11 Jun 2013 Dublin

Stayed in Jury's Inn Christchurch for one night in June 2013 and found the overall experience deeply unsatisfactory. The rooms do not have air conditioning and the room was extremely warm. The windows only open out a couple of inches and it was impossible to cool the room. We had a very unpleasant experience with a security guard at the entrance when coming back to the hotel after 12 a.m. He was extremely unfriendly and confrontational and we were both rather taken aback by the experience. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

"Best Location in Dublin"

The Jury Inn Christchurch is a wonderful hotel with an outstanding breakfast and a nice bar. Service is excellent and the location is out of this world. Walk to St. Patricks, Temple Bar, the Old Jameson Distillery, Molly Malone Statue, and St. James Gate (quite a walk though). There is a great beer hall on the corner over the Bull and Castle. Just a half block from a Hop on Hop off bus stop (See review). We spent 3 days there and will not stay anywhere else in Dublin.

"Good location, dated hotel"

3.0/5

Whilst the location of the hotel cannot be faulted opposite the popular Dublinia and Christchurch and just round the corner from Trinity college and Temple bar the hotel itself is fairly dated. First impressions are good with a newly refurbished reception and bar area however the rooms themselves could be brought upto the same standard. The bathroom especially was old and tired but very clean. The bedroom itself would have been passable had it not been for the interconnecting door to the next room where post Temple Bar drinking noise took place, Additionally all the doors on our floor banged loudly when closing which meant everytime someone crawled in from Temple Bar we were woken. Positives 1) Location - as well as the above the hotel is on the 747 bus route which connects to the airport. 2) friendly and competent service - all the staff we encountered were as helpful as possible Negatives 1) Not expensive but not a budget hotel either pricewise 2) Dated rooms 3) Noise especially from banging doors in the night. Overall I wouldn't stay here again.

"Fine"

Stayed here for one night and I would stay again, as I thought the location was really good (close to O'Connell and Grafton Street, Temple Bar etc). The room was as would be expected, clean and simple with nice view onto the street and Christchurch cathedral opposite. It was quiet and I got a good night's sleep - didn't hear any street noise or from people on the corridor. We didn't eat at all in the hotel, so I can't comment on that, but to to honest the dinner menu didn't really entice me.
