"Close to airport Comfortable"

Stayed here one night convenient to airport. Enjoyed the fact the room had all the comforts including microwave and fridge. Bathroom, especially bath, was a little worn. We asked for a quiet room and were given a room next to the vending and ice machines, an elevator and looking onto the swimming pool. It was fine for one night but it would be good if hotel staff could really understand the meaning of quiet, as this happens too often.

My wife and I stayed from May 22,2013 to May 25, 2013. At first we really liked the hotel. We loved our room and the very comforable bed. On Friday May 24th we received another charge on our bank account for the room. Now we already prepaid our room plus paid the $50.00 fee. They charged our bank for another night, when we confronted the Front Lobby lady about it she tried to tell us that it was not a charge. I showed her the account on my i-phone. Then we had a $22.00 and a 4.95 charge for the phone. (We never used our phone we had cell phones). They still have not taken the $4.95 phone charge off yet!! We almost left early because we were so upset about all of this. The front lobby person made excuses and then even stated "Why would I charge you more money? I would lose my job!!" Just really upset about her and the operation manager she was too busy to talk to us and then she even left and stopped talking to us!! That was very unprofessional!!

We stayed several days for a family wedding. The hotel is quite large and within a few blocks of the Mall of America. The breakfast is typical for this chain. The front desk staff never greeted us when we were coming or going. Other employees, especially housekeepers & maintenance people were more friendly. The room was clean.

We stayed here for one night, doing park/sleep/fly. The hotel wasn't anything special. Pretty basic, but it was clean & that's what we care about. When we arrived, the front desk was great! They joked around with us & got things set up for the shuttle the next morning. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were not, so neither my wife or I slept very well. Breakfast was very good for a continental breakfast. It had sausage, eggs, omelets, biscuits & gravy, etc. All fresh. The morning we were waiting for our shuttle, the front desk was busy. One of the ladies was pretty rude to the person she was speaking with on the phone. When she got off the phone, she had someone ask her for a local place he could drop off his dry cleaning to pick up later. Instead of helping him find a close place, she kept telling him they'd take care of it for him at the front desk, even after he kept telling her that's not what he wanted. Finally, he just told her he'd figure it out himself and left. The business center printer wasn't working, so a guy told the front desk. They told him they'd check it, but never did. He waited for a while, then just left without printing his airline ticket. I thought it was a little inconsiderate that the front desk didn't let him use the office computer to print. Another hotel did that for me once when I wasn't able to print. The shuttle service was great & had lots of room. Pickup after was quick & easy. Hotel is very close to the airport & Mall of America, so location is great. We didn't use the pool or fitness center, so I can't say what they're like. We'd definitely stay here again.

Booked at 9pm (first time using hotels.com) arrived within 20 minutes they were expecting us! Facility clean, staff welcoming, kids enjoyed late night swim, breakfast onsite, key. That's the only place I would encourage Holiday Inn Express to upgrade quality of food a touch!
