- The Lakeside Restaurant: The Lakeside Restaurant has a reputation as a leading restaurant in the area. Overlooking a tranquil lake, this is the ideal destination for lunch or dinner, whether for a romantic occasion or business evenings. The restaurant prides itself on sourcing seasonal local produce for its a la carte menus. Please note that the restaurant is currently closed Saturday lunchtime and is open for residents only on Sunday evenings.
Location information
- From the airport terminal, take the one way road (only available route) towards the first roundabout. Take the 3rd exit towards A120 / M11 Bishops Stortford. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit, following on towards A120 / M11. At the next roundabout follow straight on (2nd exit) towards A120 / M11 Bishops Stortford. Join the A120 and stay in the left hand lane. Do not follow the M11 south. Take the first exit towards A120 Bishops Stortford and at the next roundabout take the first exit towards Bishops Stortford. Stay in the left hand lane and at the first set of lights take the first exit left towards B1256 Takeley. Drive 100 yards and take the first right opposite the petrol station. The Great Hallingbury Manor hotel is 1/2 mile down this road on the left. From M11, leave at J8 NOT 8a. Follow the signs for Takeley B1256 - 2nd exit if coming from the North, 5th exit if coming from the South. Turn right opposite the Esso station. The hotel is 1 mile down the road on the left.
