checked into three different rooms until our room was satisfactory, first room aircon not working second room next to elavators to noisy for our baby and final room was ok. room was ok, got it on discount would not have paid full price, rooms are small and could do with an extra tiolet roll in bathroom, bath is small and does not fill up in two minutes as stated, overall ok room and ok hotel for the price we paid no more.

One night business trip, arrived late and left early so this is a limited perspective review. Room was good, had an iron in place, modern equipment but bathroom quite tired. Annoying things, charged ten pounds for 24 hour internet which was pretty poor, booking stated to ask hotel whether breakfast was included, it wasn't I established on arrival!

Not a negative review just honest! I've stayed here before (business) and choose it for location - but that's all. It's a hotel that serves large groups of tourists and it does that very well. The staff are very friendly especially at reception which helps make the check in process speedy. the rooms are in need of a face lift for sure. You do get a fair size room for London and decent bathroom so am happy to overlook the 'cosmetic issues' such as wobbly broken furniture as some of the other guests have reported. Location is superb being just off Kensington High Street with all of the tempting shops and restaurants. I would stay again.

We have stayed at this Hotel before so when we decided to go to London this was our first choice. We like the rooms inthe hotel as they are of a good size and have two nice chairs to relax in after walking about the city. The hotel is well placed for access to buses and the underground.

Prices for the room reasonable for London. Room was slightly dingy and very loud neighbors can be heard through the walls. You can hear the subway faintly in the background but it's not over bearing. The room was equipped with a hotpot for making tea and coffee. The furniture needs to be refurbished. Door on the mini bar kept popping open. Lots of hot water and towels. Bed and bedding clean and comfortable. The staff was inconsistent. Slightly rude on check in and great on check out. The concierge was great throughout our stay. They let us leave bags early in am before check in and gave lots of good advice and directions. We didn't buy the breakfast option thankfully!! It is seventeen pounds to walk in. But then they give you vouchers when you check in to eat for ten pounds. The food was very average and it was like a feeding frenzy and we weren't even there during peak hours. The staff was very quick to get the payment. My card was rung before I even sat down in the chair. After that service was disorganized and obtaining hot beverages which the staff brings was a challenge. I suspect a management problem there. Save your money and walk 100 yards up the street to a shop called the muffin man or across to the cafe Nero. Another half block will take you to a lower ground food hall which is like huge deli. There are Starbucks another halfback away. Whole foods is about two blocks further which offers an entire upstairs of deli style food options. On the topic of eating there is a Thai restaurant that was good (less than half a block away) and a Lebanese place about a block away. For the fast-food people there is also a pizza hut and mcdonalds within a block. This all leads to location. The high street Kensington underground is half a block away. It is a bigger station with an agent where you can ask questions if just getting started on the tube like we were. You can walk to Kensington gardens in about ten minutes. There is also lots of shopping in walking distance for toiletries and clothing. It is block off the main drag so you wouldn't see it if you were driving. From heathrow we took the express train that was fifty pounds for three; not sure what it would cost for one-50 doesn't divide by three equally. Then a cab from paddington station was thirteen pounds with luggage for three people. Cabs were abundant in Paddington station and this was by far the easiest way to do things. We also found taking a taxi from the hotel to kings cross rail station the cheapest/easiest for three with luggage at twenty one pounds in comparison to the hired cars at thirty. There were plenty of taxis avail and the doorman got one for us in minutes. This hotel and area are very time sensitive with peak rush around 8-9:30, so if you need assistance going a little later will get you less busy staff. We also noticed that hours for shops and restaurants were open late with many places open until ten pm and I believe the hotel restaurant was still open until eleven pm.
