"Very good location"

The rooms are big and clean, but have no style. There is a great shower in the bathroom, but could have been better lights in it (not bright enough to put makup on). But the location is great - Montjuic and the Magic Fountain is whithin walking distance and has very good transport connections to the other parts of the city.

Located at Placa Espanya, close to fountain and Monsterrat. coffee shop at the oppsite for nice breakfast. Airport bus directly access, just drop at the first stop and walk backward for 2 minutes arrived. 1 or 2 station metro to Sants Station, we chose to walk 15 to 20 minutes even carry luggage was not difficult. Front desk staff is always friendly and helpful, free bottle water everyday. Hotel and room decoration is standard, room space big enough, bed very comfortable, room wifi always smooth. I requested the room view to main street because I don't like face to back, it's a bit noisy but I used to shut window while sleeping so that it is not a problem for me. We stayed in end April spent HK$ 1220 for 2 night booked from Hotel.com, I think it is valuable for our pleasure stay.

Stayed in this hotel for a short two night stay. Check-in was quick and efficent, with staff at the desk friendly. I had a single corner room which was clean and comfortable. The single rooms are smaller than the doubles as you would expect but still provided ample space for a single traveller. Nice touches in the room included electric window shades, free bottle of mineral water, and free wi-fi for the duration of my stay. The room was very bright due to the large double windows which I liked. Would also mention that I had a good view from my room on the seventh floor, looking towards Playa Espana. Inevitably there was some street noise with the location of this room. The bathroom included a large walk-in shower (though no bath) and toiletries to use. The room featured a useful 'safe deposit box' for leaving important items like passport etc. I used the bar/cafe on one evening and found the food and service to be good. This hotel is well placed for transport links such as metro and Aerobus. Overall, the Ayre Hotel Gran Via is very good. Modern, clean and with helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel.

Hotel is very industrial modern in design (not "cushy / homey"), but extremely clean. One block from Plaza Espana, with easy access to Metro, touristic bus routes, regular buses, and the Aeroporter bus to airport for only 6 Euro instead of expensive taxi. Had excellent breakfast buffet, with even cooked to order eggs, sausages, etc included in the menu. (12 Euro if you do not book a room with meal included). Easy 5 minutes or so on Metro to the big tourist center of town, but much quieter and safer neighborhood to stay in. Staff extremely helpful and courteous. We were very pleased with this accommodation.

Very convenient to the metro at Plaza Espana. Clean and modern, but the outstanding characteristic is the outstanding service. The whole staff is exceptionally helpful especially when I needed a video monitor and speakers set up for a meeting. I will certainly be back.
