Stayed at Imperial Hotel, Prague on 07.06.13 - 10.06.13 Other comments are bit poor but I have stayed in budget hotels to me this is excellent wasnt expecting the ritz like some reviews so very happy with hotel. The service by all staff was excellent from Front of House to chambermaid this what made the hotel more of a specal place to stay as staff always went out of their way to help you The rooms are clean, well maintained, (gorgeous decor in bathroom) comfortable bed and size is reasonable but lucky to have been able to be upgraded to a Executive Room on this specific weekend due to floods (but no floods to be seen weather was hot) Brekfast is vast, and lots ot choice of, hot english type (bacon and sauasage are Czech (spicy) ), continental, omelette made to order (when requested), muffins, fruit, porridge with various jams We disnt personally like the tea/coffee but a Starbucks is across the road only 75 krono or capppccino any size Prage is a fantastic city, Prague Square (15 min walk away) Wenceslas Square (30 min walk), shopping mall a few doors down (Palladum) Visited Prague Castle - excellent and huge; used the hotel car service same price as a taxi and arrived in style with a Merceedes and hotel happy to collect you to return back whenever we were ready. Places to eat - Oliva Verde Restaurant Nothing but the best service whatever time we went facing the astronimical clock in the Old Town Square There is a fantastic Traditional Czech restuaraunt (walk past Nostradamus Restaurant on your right - (dont go in there absolute rubbish) follow the restaurants round until it takes you to corner off the square, pass the Shisha cafe and its there (so regret forgot the name of this jem of a place)

"Very nice hotel with exquisite decor"

Slept 4 nights in June 2013 We were disappointed by the surrounding and the outside aspect of the hotel: Old street with no ambiance and stingy look of the hotel. But location with regard of Old Town is very good: About 400 metres from municipal hall. Lobby is small, don't expect to relax there. But inside decor is just splendid. Art Deco style everywhere including furnitures elevators, spa... Hotel is spotless. They must take excellent care of it. Restaurant is splendid as well: Breathtaking decor. Breakfast buffet is as good is any good hotel. Cappuccinos are excellent and service is excellent as well. I do recommend it.

After many many hours of traveling, we were very excited to get to our room at the Art Deco Imperial Hotel. Upon first entering into the lobby, we weren't as impressed with the presentation as we were with the pictures - note that many of the pictures on the website are in fact misleading. It is not as opulent as it appears in the pictures and it is definitely not a 5*. Once we were led to our room, we were surprised by the size of the room. The bathroom was so small you could barely close the door behind you. Whenever my husband and I get to a hotel room, we always check in the closet, behind and under the bed, as well as drawers and showers for cleanliness etc. We were surprised to find someone's negligee behind the bed. My husband called down to the front desk...they were very apologetic and they gave us a new room immediately. When we got to our second room, we did the same check (under and behind bed)--and to our surprise, we found both condoms and bottle caps. GROSS. Upon seeing this, we decided we would NOT be staying here no matter what. From the beginning, the staff was incredibly courteous and top-notch. The cleaning crew, on the other hand...needs some help. We understand that mistakes happen, yes...but we had the same thing happen in two rooms. The cleaning crew should be cleaning what is seen and what is unseen... (we don't understand how they could change the sheets but not see the lingerie and condoms). When we asked for our money back, Jan, the manager, was quick to help us and even offered to book us at another hotel. He promptly arranged our stay at a hotel close-by and paid for our transit to the new hotel. The only reason I would stay "Stay here" would be for the excellent customer service. The dining room/attached restaurant also looked beautiful.

"Stylish, comfortable and central."

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights earlier this week; it could not have been better! It's only a 5 minute walk to the heart of the old town. The staff are friendly and helpful, the decor is absolutely fantastic if you like something a bit unusual, and the rooms and hotel generally are beautifully clean and well kept. The bedroom was nicely furnished in keeping with the 1920/30's feel, the bathroom and separate w.c./sink were marble and very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We'd asked for a quiet room and were on the side street and although on the first floor it was very peaceful; avoid the front as I think the trams run almost all night! We arrived on the first night around 8.30pm and decided to have a sandwich in the bar; it was lovely and the barman was very friendly too. We asked at the Reception desk to book a table in the restaurant for the next day but he said it was full; however we checked with the Restaurant itself at breakfast and that was not the case so we booked and had a very nice meal that night, not overpriced, pleasant staff, rather heavy on the dumplings! So check yourself with the Restaurant for a table, don't rely on Reception! ( I think at the weekends it's very busy but we were there during the week). The breakfasts were fine, lots of choice for all preferences, with a fresh-cooked omlette/egg option if you like. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed for two nights at executive room. Nice decoration, one full bathroom plus additional wc with sink. Coffee machine, kattle, worktable. All in nice condition. Close to sightseing and official tour bus. 150 meters to large shopping center. Parking a little bit scary, but they can park your car for you so you will not see the car lift and other funny things about parking. Wifi Internet speed is lousy... Booked late (2 days in advance) found special price for this room at cost slightly higher than Ibis next door))) Will definitely stay again if could find same price.
