"Good hotel on a budget"

I spent 4 days in Barcellona with a friend, so I stayed 3 night in this hotel which is in a very good position in the Gracia district, with quite few shops and places to eat, plus it was only 100 m from the underground station Fontana, which is fairly central and well connected to the main attractions.The hotel was clean, with all the basic necessities, included a small kitchenette with a sink in case we wanted to cook something ourselves. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Aparthotel Silver is very well located in the heart of Barcelona, with the city center just a 15-20 minute walk away. However, if you prefer a faster way of getting around, the metro station is just 100 meters (1 minutes) away, just around the corner. The staff is extremely friendly and they speak pretty good English at the front desk. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the kitchenette is well equipped, although we did not use it much. The breakfast is the standard buffet style, can't really complain about it, there is enough for every taste and sufficient to get your day started. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends traveling to Barcelona due to its location, friendly staff and overall good atmosphere. The only drawbacks are indeed the thin walls so it might get uncomfortable if you get overly "passionate" people (like we did) in the next room. But that is a good time to leave and visit the city, because frankly there is no real reason for going to Barcelona and spending time in a hotel room other than the strictly necessary.

We stayed about a week in Aparthotel during our trip to Barcelona. The room was cozy and tidy and had its own kitchenette. The staff at the reception was very friendly to us and gave us helpful advices each time we asked for. We appreciated the everyday room cleaning in this hotel. Special compliments should be expressed to hotel's location: next street to Casa Vicens and just a couple of minutes walk from the Fontana metro station that allows to accede the major part of city's attractions within 15 minutes. Very good wifi in rooms.

This all apartment hotel is located only metres from the Metro and an easy stroll to tourist offices and the Gracia area of this wonderful city. Surrounded by little cafes,shops and markets it is well placed for a stay of any length. The apartments are all well equipped, however the terrace comfort rooms have a fantastic little ( artificially) grassed area with sun lounges, clothes airer and outdoor setting. An extra welcome treat is the electric foot massager in the room. Bliss after a long day out. Kitchenettes are completely set up, however the addition of a toaster would make it complete. Street facing rooms are noisier than back facing ones, but if it's too much of.a problem there are metal shutters to shut out the noise. What makes this place perfect are the staff. They are all friendly and ever ready to help in any way. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they are quick to offer ideas, local tips and a welcoming smile. We did not use the restaurant so cannot comment on this.

My partner and I spent four nights here in conjunction with a family wedding. The room was nicely apportioned, comfortable and roomy by European standards. The staff was extremely helpful again and again. There were nice little touches like a box of chocolates on your pillow which is a nice surprise for a three star hotel. The hotel is VERY convenient to the metro stop and in a good area for walking to enjoy shops and eateries. We considered it an excellent value charging much less than similar hotels in the area. The only complaint was the noise at night and in the early mornings. The management needs to call the police when the peace is disturbed by others. If you go, ask for a room on the garden side not the street.
