We love Miami
Stunning sunsets, palm trees, and golden beaches await you at this glamour resort with a Latin twist. Many films and TV shows are made each year in Miami (such as Miami Vice, 2 Fast 2 Furious, The Bodyguard, and There’s Something About Mary) and lots of famous stars have homes here, including Matt Damon, Shakira, and Will Smith.
A Miami holiday wouldn’t be complete without some time relaxing on the beach and there are plenty to choose from. Looking out for film stars and models at Lummus Park Beach or partying to disco, reggae and salsa at Crandon Park Beach are just two of the many possibilities. At night, South Beach and Ocean Drive really come alive when the bars, restaurants and nightclubs start to fill up, illuminated by red, pink, and blue neon lights.
Sip coffee at the famous Versailles restaurant, or watch the locals play dominoes in Gomez Park (which gets pretty busy during Miami holidays).
Our must-see attractions in Miami
Art fans will want to check out Miami Beach’s historic district, home to the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world, and the design district of Biscayne Boulevard which is teeming with over a hundred galleries of art works.
A must-see attraction during any holiday to Miami is the Miami Seaquarium on Biscayne Bay. The location for the famous 1960s TV show Flipper, here you can see a variety of marine mammals, fish, sharks, sea turtles, birds, reptiles, and manatees. Remember to take your swimsuit as there’s even the chance to swim with dolphins.
Dolphin fans of a different kind might want to make a pilgrimage to the Sun Life Stadium, home of American Football stars, the Miami Dolphins. Guided tours are available and the venue occasionally hosts concerts by big acts such as U2, The Black-Eyed Peas, and Justin Timberlake.
