Puerto Rico is a great little beach resort, located on the southwest coast of the island of Gran Canaria. It is reported to be the sunniest spot on the whole island, so if you’re looking for a sun tan, this is the place to come! To get there, you’ll need to fly to Las Palmas International Airport (LPA). Flights from the UK will take somewhere in the region of 4 hours 15 minutes, while transfers between the airport and Puerto Rico should take no more than 40 minutes.
The small beach at Puerto Rico is perfectly formed, featuring fine golden sand and the warm waters of the Atlantic. It’s a great place to enjoy a swim, although it can get a little busy during peak season! There are some great facilities on offer around the beach, including sun beds, parasols and showers.
