The Best of Both Worlds on holiday in Costa Adeje
One of the main attractions of Costa Adeje is its dazzling white sand beach Playa del Duque. Quieter than the busy beaches along the coastline, it’s a popular place for families due to the clear, calm waters and opportunities for water sports. Try banana boating, jet skiing or snorkelling or enjoy the view from a sun lounger!
A holiday to Costa Adeje would not be complete without a dose of natural beauty. Take advantage of the island’s picturesque coast and take a boat tour along the shoreline and enjoy the breath taking sights of Los Gigantes cliffs, and even enjoy a dip in the ocean. The area is also well known for its whale and dolphin watching tours which are spectacular.
Visit World Heritage Site Teide National Park, home to the world’s third largest volcano. Take a trip to the top and enjoy the colourful sunsets synonymous with the area, and the surrounding views of the other Canary Islands. Play golf at one of the area’s famous courses, or treat the family to Siam Water Park, with flumes and pools galore.
During your holiday to Costa Adeje, a stroll along the promenade should not be missed with its bars, shops and restaurants. There are also a few small shopping centres in the area with excellent duty free. For food – look no further. The promenade offers a wide range of both local and foreign gastronomy. There’s the usual fare – tapasand Hispanic dishes – but you can expect Italian and Oriental eateries too. For delicious fresh seafood, head to fishing village La Caleta, a 15-minute walk along the coast.
While there are nice bars for post-dinner repose, holidays in Costa Adeje aren’t renowned for its hard-core partygoers.
