What is Blu-express's luggage allowance?
One item of hand luggage is allowed in the cabin of the aircraft, but must meet Blu-express size and weight regulations. Each cabin item may be a maximum size of 55 x 40 x 20 cm and not exceed 10 kg in weight. Blu-express operates different hold luggage restrictions with the general allowance for domestic flights set at one bag weighing no more than 20 kg in total, or two bags up to a total of 30 kg. Prices are cheaper when hold luggage is booked in advance, with a price of 10EUR for one bag, or 20EUR when booked at the departure gate. Excess baggage is charged at 10EUR per kg. Exceptions to the baggage rates include international flights when the hold allowance is increased to 23 kg and priced at 75EUR when purchased in advance. Hold luggage is checked in free of charge on all flights to Lampedusa. Musical instruments, such as a cello or a harp, can be transported in the aircraft cabin, so long as they meet size regulations and an additional seat has been purchased. Pushchairs and prams can be carried free of charge and will be stowed by the cabin staff. Some liquids are allowed in the aircraft cabin;however, passengers should check the regulations to find out exactly what can be taken on board. Passengers can also transport a number of additional personal items in the cabin;for example, one laptop, raincoat, handbag, and camera.
