Who wrote Witness for the Prosecution?

Agatha Christie, who wrote Witness for the Prosecution, is renowned around the world for her popular and thrilling mystery novels, particularly those featuring the detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. Known as the Queen of Crime, she is the best-selling novelist in history, outsold only by the Bible and Shakespeare. She also wrote the world's longest-running play, The Mousetrap, which is still performed in London today. Witness for the Prosecution the play is based on her short story initially published as "Traitor Hands". Christie later adapted the story into the play which first opened in London at the Winter Garden Theatre in 1953.
