The Play That Goes Wrong cast features Adam Byron as Robert,Drew Dillon as Dennis, Joanne Ferguson as Annie, Fred Gray as Trevor, April Hughes as Sandra, Oliver Llewellyn-Jenkins as Jonathan, Daniel Millar as Max, Hayden Wood as Chris, Adam Boakes, Katy Daghorn, George Haynes and Lindsey Scott. The Play That Goes Wrong London production is designed by Nigel Hook, with lighting by Ric Mountjoy. It is produced in the West End by Kenny Wax Ltd and Stage Presence Ltd.

 

What is The Play That Goes Wrong about?

 

Described as Fawlty Towers meets Noises Off, The Play That Goes Wrong play is inspired by Michael Green’s 1964 book The Art of Coarse Acting, as well as Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin and Mr Bean.

The fictitious Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, responsible for hits as The Lion and The Wardrobe, Cat, and James and the Peach or James, Where's your Peach?, is putting on a performance of The Murder at Haversham Manor – a 1920s murder mystery play, similar to The Mousetrap. A number of disasters befall the cast during the production, however. Cast members forget their lines, misplace props, miss cues, break character, with one cast member even being knocked unconscious.
