Following hot on the heels of The Gruffalo’s monstrous West End success comes The Gruffalo’s Child - with attitude! Just how brave is she? Find out for yourselves by joining her in the West End this Christmas with tickets for The Gruffalo’s Child.

The Gruffalo said that no Gruffalo should Ever set foot in the deep dark wood...

One wild and windy night the Gruffalo’s child ignores her father’s warning and tiptoes out into the snow. After all, the Big Bad Mouse doesn’t really exist... does he? Tall Stories returns, bringing Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s award-winning sequel to life in this magical, musical adaptation.

Who wrote The Gruffalo’s Child?

The Gruffalo's Child was written by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler and is the bestselling sequel to The Gruffalo. It tells the story of the Gruffalo's child (a daughter) who, despite her father's warning, travels into the "deep dark wood" to find the "big bad mouse", the only thing her father is afraid of. Tall Stories brings great stories to life for audiences of all ages. The company was founded in 1997 by joint artistic directors Olivia Jacobs and Toby Mitchell, who have co-created all the company’s shows since then.

The Gruffalo’s Child reviews

Critics have praised the show, describing it as ‘Lovingly and simply brought to the stage... The little guy wins through and might isn’t proved to be right: what better message could Gruffa-holics of all ages take away with them?’ (Evening Standard). The Reviews Hub writes, ‘With songs you’ll be singing all evening (whether you like it or not), just the right amount of spookiness for the intended age group, and sublime creativity with dance, movement and roving trees, this is a performance guaranteed to exceed expectations. Tall Stories does it again.’
