Beautiful tells the fascinating tale of one of the greatest performers and songwriters in pop music, Carole King. Developed from a well-written book by Douglas McGrath, the musical features a memorable collection of early rock hits, including ""Take Good Care of My Baby"" and ""Some Kind of Wonderful"". With Jessie Mueller playing the shy Brooklyn Jewish girl who blossoms into a shining star, the Beautiful Broadway show also features fellow songwriters Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, convincingly played by Anika Larsen and Jarrod Spector. Slick scene changes using the theatre's revolving floor ensure continuity and keep the audience glued to the stage throughout.
