No matter what age, walk of life or social situation, members of the audience will be thrilled by the special effects and illusions in this fantastic show. Aladdin is likely to become the smash hit for summer 2016 and it's hardly surprising. The Broadway show was nominated for an Academy Award, transporting the audience to a world of fantasy and make-believe in every performance. This performance of Aladdin the Musical will be just as wonderful, giving kids a glimpse of the joys of attending live theatrical performances. Family days out in London will be a special treat, with school trips to watch Aladdin in the West End likely to be a popular outing for a number of provincial schools and academies throughout 2016.
Cast members include Dean John-Wilson in the role of Aladdin and Jade Ewin as Princess Jasmine. Anybody unfamiliar with this classic story will enjoy the tale of Aladdin's rise to eminence from the streets of Baghdad. Young Aladdin is a poor street urchin and a savvy trickster when he meets and falls in love with Princess Jasmine. The Grand Vizier at the Sultan's Court takes full advantage of the young man, sending him on a mission to retrieve the lamp containing a Genie. The colourful sets created for the show illustrate the story's romp through the narrow alleys of Baghdad to the Sultan's Court, onto the gloomy cave and mountainous area where Aladdin meets his Genie. Costumes, music, choreography, set design and special effects all combine to create one of the most wonderful visual experiences likely in a musical theatrical performance in this showing of Aladdin, giving the audience a peek into a magical world that will leave them spellbound.
Children will be enthralled when they see their favourite Disney cartoon and film characters coming to life on stage, while adults will spend time wondering just how some of the fantastic special effects were actually created. Anybody who enjoys family outings and theatrical events which run through the entire gamut of effects, coupled with an enchanting and familiar story will find the Aladdin musical is a hard act to beat.
