The Comedy About a Bank Robbery will feature all the main characters needed for a hilarious heist. You'll meet six incompetent crooks along the way, the gigantic diamond they want to get their hands on and a security guard who is, of course, asleep on the job. What could possibly not go right on the night?

Set in the amateur criminal world of wannabee jewellery heisters and inspired by the greatest failed robberies of all time, the audience will laugh and cry with these lovable rogues as they attempt to get away with it and change their lives forever. Can the security guard do his job? Can the crooks pull it off? What sort of hiccups will they encounter along the way?

Fans of comedic criminal films such as A Fish Called Wanda, Nuns on the Run, Sister Act and Snatch will love this tale of a robbery gone wrong. In fact, think Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels or Ocean's Eleven meets The Great Muppet Caper, and you have the blend of terrific heist plot and wacky humour that makes A Comedy About a Bank Robbery so compelling.

This hilarious tale is aimed at audiences aged 10 and over and is certain to be a crowd-pleasing choice for families with older children. A Comedy About a Bank Robbery is guaranteed to be a great night out - it's ideal for both veterans of West End theatre and those visiting the city wanting a taste of Great British Comedy. A great night out for both couples and groups of friends, this play will be a guaranteed hit for anyone who loves to be entertained.

A Comedy About a Bank Robbery is Written by Jonathan Sayer, Henry Lewis and Henry Shields. The same team have previously brought us Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Play that Goes Wrong to British theatre land.

Previews for A Comedy About a Bank Robbery will begin on 12th April 2016, with normal evening and matinee performances starting from the 31st March 2016. The Comedy About a Bank Robbery will then run at the theatre until the 2nd October 2016.

When a group of ill-equipped criminals come together to steal the biggest diamond they can, we can all safely assume that very little will go right on the night. For fans of farce theatre and anyone who loves a good comedy criminal heist story, then this is the play of the year for you. Prepare for a night of crying with laughter, utter surprise and general tomfoolery.
