Review: Miley Cyrus End of Tour Show Rocks The 02
I took two very excited nine year olds girls to the 02 earlier this week to see their favourite singer. We arrived in style, and very little hassle, because we took the Thames Clipper boat from the Millennium pier and which dropped us off outside the venue. Armed with glowsticks, programmes and popcorn we took our seats and waited for the show to begin. Miley Cyrus certainly made an entrance when she arrived on stage at the 02. She stepped out of an iceberg and was greeted with thunderous applause and lots of screaming from her adoring fans. The arena was lit up with fans waving their glow sticks (and that included us too!).
Leaving her Hannah Montana persona firmly behind Miley Cyrus has definitely grown up. She dazzled in her outfits - she must have had at least ten costume changes - and proved what a great voice she has outside of the studio. She mixed her set with some ballads and set the house on fire with new songs like Girls Night Out.
While the audience was packed full of young Hannah Montana fans, there were a few treats for the parents too, especially when she did a great cover of the 80s Joan Jett anthem 'I Love Rock and Roll' and flew over the crowd on an amazing red Harley Davidson motorbike.
Her final encore was her great song, The Climb, and there really is no one else that can sing it better than her. If you're keen to experience the atmosphere of the 02, we have lots of great events coming up there in 2010. There are a number of great hotels available too so you can stay in London and make the most of your trip.
