No this is not deja vu, it’s just Richard giving his version of events from the globe trotter trip to Paris last weekend.
And over to him…
Paris is not well known for being the place to visit for music festivals but Rock en Seine has a famous reputation and is well esteemed in France. Rather than staying in the UK for V Festival, Paris offers a great alternative as a festival destination and I definitely ‘rocked’ it out there.
The festival itself is situated on the outskirts of Paris at the Porte De St Cloud. Three different stages are located within easy walking distance but just out of earshot around the park which is lined with various bars and eating establishments. This isn’t a normal festival that is held in a field. The park was designed by Le Notre, the landscape architect of King Louis XIV and whilst it felt like a strange place to hold a festival by the end of the night I was beginning to appreciate why.
Bearing in mind that Oasis had cancelled their gig at V Festival just a few days before we never really fully believed that they would show up to the Rock en Seine gig. It’s all part of the fun of being at a festival I guess.
